Khertvisi Fortress, Khertvisi-Vardzia-Mirashkhani, Georgia

This one day tour will take you through East Georgia. You will explore the sacred city Mtskheta, the site protected under UNESCO’s world heritage act. Svetitskhoveli, the church at its heart is where Christianity began in Georgia in the 4th century. Guarding Mtskheta town from above is the Jvari monastery. Looking down from here you’ll be mesmirised by the picturesque view of  Mtskheta Old Town and the eternal Aragvi river that surrounds it. It’s the perfect spot to forever capture the wild Georgian nature and keep a visual memento of your holidays.
Gori, originally named after its location on a hill -’gora’ in Georgian, has been settled already in the Bronze Age, however, it has been made famous by more recent history – it’s where Joseph Jughashvili, also known as Stalin, was born.

The last stop on our journey is Uplistsikhe – a cave town that used to be a significant pagan religious centre and still has enough mystery and charm left to be one of the most popular attractions in Georgia.
