Metekhi is a historic neighbourhood of Tbilisi, Georgia, located on the elevated cliff that overlooks the Mtkvari river.

Abanotubani is the ancient district of Tbilisi, Georgia, known for its sulfuric baths that date back to the 5th century. This is the place, where according to a legend the King of Iberia, Vakhtang Gorgasali’s falcon fell, leading to the discovery of the hot springs and, subsequently, to the founding of Tbilisi.

Narikala is an ancient (6th century) fortress overlooking the Tbilisi old town and Mtkvari river.

The Holy Trinity Cathedral, commonly known as ‘Sameba’ has been serving as the main cathedral of the Georgian Orthodox Church ever since its completion in 2004.

Tucked away just behind the famous Sulfur Bats, Legvtakhevi and it’s waterfall offers a picturesque chunk of nature right in the middle of the city.

The busy Shardeni street, named after the French jeweller Jean Chardin, runs through the historic heart of Tbilisi. It used to be the commercial hub of the city and to this day remains the centre of its cultural and social life.

The Sioni Cathedral of the Dormition is a Georgian Orthodox cathedral in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia.

The Bridge of Peace is a bow-shaped pedestrian bridge that connects the two banks of river Mtkvari. Made predominantly out of steel and glass and illuminated with numerous LEDs it’s one of the most visited contemporary structures in Tbilisi.

Mtskheta is a city in Mtskheta-Mtianeti province of Georgia. One of the oldest cities of Georgia. The "Historical Monuments of Mtskheta" became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. It’s home to the most famous church in Georgia - Svetitskhoveli.

Jvari Monastery is a 6th-century Georgian Orthodox monastery overlooking Mtskheta and the junction of Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers.

Khertvisi fortress is one of the oldest surviving fortresses in Georgia that date to the feudal period. The church was built in 985. The present walls are from 1354.

Joseph Stalin’s house-museum located in the town of Gori stores personal items belonging to the leader. Here visitors will also have a chance to see the famous bulletproof train carriage he travelled in.

Uplistsikhe cave town s the first settled area mentioned in manuscripts dating from 2nd millennium BC. The town was an important point on the trade route linking Byzantium, India and China. The archaeological excavations uncovered several layers dating from the Early Iron Age to the late Middle Ages.

You can use your free time to explore parts of the city on your own. Maybe you would like to take through the New Tbilisi, watch the famous puppet show at Gabriadze theatre, do some shopping at one of Tbilisi’s three shopping malls or simply relax in Sulfur Baths.

Alaverdi Monastery is a Georgian Eastern Orthodox monastery.
While parts of the monastery date back to 6th century, the present-day cathedral was built in the 11th century by Kvirike III of Kakheti, replacing an older church of St. George.

This fortress near Gombori pass dates back to 3rd century. It was originally surrounded by powerful protective walls with nine towers. Now, sadly, only parts of the walls remain. However, the beautiful views over the Iori valley make a visit worthwhile.

Telavi, the capital of the Eastern province of Kakheti, is home to several of the region’s world-famous wineries, art museums, castles and a theatre highlighting folk singing and dancing.

Tsinandali is a village in Kakheti, Georgia, noted for the estate and its historic winery which once belonged to the 19th-century aristocratic poet Alexander Chavchavadze. It was here that the Georgian wine was first bottled. Saperavi of 1841 and other 19th-century historical vintages are still preserved at Princely Oenotheque.

The Monastery of St. Nino at Bodbe was originally built in the 9th century. The monastery now functions as a nunnery and is one of the major pilgrimage sites in Georgia.

City of wine and love, as it is being called in recent years, Sighnaghi is very much appealing to those who are tired of big city life, and like everything lovely, cute and small.
